Paty Soto, currently known for her project "Galals Art," is a visual artist and painter distinguished by her work with intense colors and contemporary materials. Originally from Chile, she currently maintains an active presence in Miami and New York, and has also exhibited in her home country. Her work encompasses large-format painting with fluorescent palettes, vibrant paper collages—crafted with energetic chromatic gesturality—and more recently, resin sculptures that continue the visual intensity and spatial exploration theme.

Create something reusable

The idea of making this project is to create something reusable, something that holds meaning. To create a work of art from obsolete and unused printed media. Within the framework comes conscious and unconscious ideas. The act of folding and fragmenting. The exercise of creating with a plastic frame of mind allowing a plain printed object to transition to another object through abstract thinking. Re-imagining it, recreating it into a volumetric folding hand fan.
